Analysis of Potential and Development Strategy of Vegetable Farming in Wates Village, Getasan District, Semarang Regency

Abstract

This enelitian aims to 1) Manalyze the potential of farmers in carrying out farming in Wates Village, Getasan District, Semarang Regency. 2) Menyusun strategy for developing vegetable farming in Wates Village, Getasan District, Semarang Regency. The types of data used are primary and secondary data. The sample determination technique used is purposive sampling.  The data analysis technique that is used, namely descriptive quality analysis, is used to analyze the potential of farmers in Wates Village in carrying out a vegetable crop business. The results showed that alternative farming strategies in Wates Village are  a strategic location for vegetable cultivation and utilizing a close market location to market vegetables, (S-O), use public awareness to create new online-based markets (W-O), improve the quality of vegetables to be superior to other regions (S-T)  The use of social media as a medium for promoting vegetables to encourage price stability (W-T).
