Abstract

Nowadays the main focus of energy suppliers is the migration towards smart grid. This concern arise from the anticipated transition towards transport electrification and also the increasing number of distributed renewable energy sources to be integrated. This paper presents some strategies for handling the integration of electric vehicles and renewable sources into the power grid. Balancing the renewable energy sources is one of the topics presented. Another subject of the paper is presenting demand response control strategy. All presented solutions are designed to be integrated into a smart power grid.
