Adoption et utilisation des paiements électroniques en Algérie: étude empirique de la période (2016-2022)

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to measure the degree of use of electronic payment in Algeria. To do so, we followed a theoretical and empirical approach of the different indicators of electronic payment in Algeria (online payment and payment on TPE) collected from data of GIE Monetics and SATIM. These statistics cover the annual electronic payment activity from 2016 to 2022. The results clearly indicate a considerable increase in the use of electronic payment methods by Algerian households and businesses, which demonstrates that the Algerian population is increasingly interested in electronic payments
