Renovation and modernisation of control centre/network applications in energy management system

Abstract

An attempt has been made in this paper to review the facilities available at the State Load Despatch Centre, Kalwa. The new energy management system (EMS) is also described and network applications such as state estimation, optimal load flow, security analysis etc. for taking quick and corrective decisions during emergencies by the operator, have been covered.
