Abstract

In the pandemic context, I served a young woman through writing. A priori, the calls took place by text messages exchanged by WhatsApp™ and then started to be through the chat of the videoconferencing platform Google Meet™, in real time. The service through writing in the psychoanalytic clinic is quite unusual, highlighting the importance of transference. This article seeks to analyze the status of the transference forged through the treatment performed by writings in the psychoanalytic clinic, from the extract of a clinical case. In this experience mentioned above, it was found that it is possible for transference to operate through writing. In the case in question, the transference that was woven through writing was through the imaginary rope. Written assistance has some distinct particularities from speech assistance, thus, they need to be considered and requiring us, psychoanalysts, psychologists to think about these differences and how it is something new requires more research. ABSTRACT
