The Power Measuring Method for Individual PV Using Frequncy Modulation on Single Line

Abstract

Fault detection of Photovoltaic (PV) is one of the important issues in PV Farm. There is a way to monitor power for PV failure detection, but it is necessary to connect a device for measuring power at all PV. Therefore, PV Farm owners have to more spend cost for monitoring as number of PV. In this paper, we propose a monitoring system that does not require connection of power sensors, communication modules and processors to each PV. For this purpose, generated power is modulated depending on specified frequency band.
