Abstract

This article focuses on the modelling and simulation of high-frequency electromagnetic field thermal effects on tumour tissue. It studies how a commonly used EMF frequency in hyperthermia influences the distribution of specific absorption rate (SAR) in a heterogeneous woman's breast model. We built a simulation model with two radiating antenna topologies, and we changed the location of the tumour in the breast to three different locations. The simulation results were compared and evaluated.
