Abstract
This study combines trust, learning and knowledge management theory to develop an integrated model of knowledge acquisition in transition China. We analyze the model using a structural equation model approach, and 218 manufacturing and service firms in China are selected as the samples of this study. The results conclude that: (1) the trust is positively relative commitment to learning; (2) trust is a function of its knowledge interpretation; (3) trust will significantly impact on knowledge acquisition; (4) commitment to learning is a function of its knowledge interpretation; (5) commitment to learning will significantly impact on knowledge acquisition; (6) knowledge interpretation is a function of its knowledge acquisition; (7) knowledge acquisition will significantly impact on performance. Finally, implications for researchers and practitioners are presented.
