Abstract

Biomass material is getting importance thanks to the new developments done in the energetic sector. Quality control is of great interest to optimize its production. Moisture level quality control of the product is a key point in this sector. Therefore, taking advantage of the sensibility presented by THz waves to water, a viability study to control the water content in biomass material in THz frequencies is presented here. Several species, sample granulometries and moisture level have been taken into account. Good agreement between the water content and the measurement has been measured but affected by the influence of the shape of the samples.
