Abstract

Relay assisted satellite communication holds the promise to increase the coverage area and enhance the energy efficiency of Land Mobile Satellite (LMS) systems. To this end, this paper focuses on the performance analysis of relay assisted LMS communication. The channel between relays and satellite is subjected to Shadow Rician fading. Moreover, correlated fading environment is assumed between relays and mobile nodes.
