Abstract

A series of letters from Marti de Riquer’s archive tell the story of his relationship with another great medievalist, Josep Romeu. Their friendship and mutual admiration is documented, as well as their brief competition to obtain a position in the University of Barcelona, and later their shared activities at the Reial Academia de Bones Lletres de Barcelona.
