Abstract

Vehicle to Everything (V2X) communication, which involves vehicles disseminating information about its type, location and movement are known to help increasing road safety. At physical layer, there are two main solutions: 1) Dedicated Short Range Communication, which is based on IEEE 802.11p standard and 2) Cellular V2X, which is a recent development in 3GPP LTE standard to support V2X use case. In this paper, we provide our comparison of the performance of the two aforementioned technologies at both link level and system level.
