Abstract

A novel compact wide-band monopole antenna for mobile communication is proposed and analyzed. The parameters which affect the performance of the antenna are simulated and optimized using the finite element method. The bandwidth of the proposed antenna is 550MHz-3300MHz for VSWR (voltage standing wave ratio)
