The International Faculty of Engineering: an English-based global perspective in the heart of Central Europe

Abstract

The authors describe how the establishment of the International Faculty of Engineering in Poland has created a model and opened a window for international educational cooperation in the heart of Central Europe. The first year has successfully established the principles for the operation and future expansion of the program. Several additional programs and many new students mark the beginning of the second year. This model is expected to expand with cooperation with other countries as well. The Technical University of Lodz is thus providing an English based global perspective in the heart of Central Europe.
