Research of the comparison for the cubic spline curve and the cubic Bezier curve in the cable path design of the launch vehicle

Abstract

Aimed the design of a smooth path quickly and accurately for the cable on the launch vehicle, when the locations and directions of the two endpoints are known, which is frequently encountered. The article realizes the design of the entire cable path based on the cubic spline curve and the Bezier curve respectively, and develops the automatic rapidly design system of the cable on the launch vehicle, which is common connection types for the cable on the launch vehicle. After a comparative study of the two methods, the conclusion is that the cubic Bezier curve is more general. At the end of the article, an example is given to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.
