A new species of Empidideicus Becker (Diptera: Mythicomyiidae) from Portugal

Abstract

A new species, Empidideicus evenhuisi sp. n. from Portugal is described and illustrated. It is only the third species recorded from the Iberian Peninsula and the second species recorded from Portugal. A key is given to separate species in the Iberian peninsula.
