Abstract

A low cost DC power data logger was designed. It could log data about generated solar energy from two solar systems. The power was measured indirectly. Calculation of power and energy was made every 255 ms. They were averaged and logged with interval one minute. The data logger was made in order to analyze the operation of different solar systems types: fixed mount vs. single axis, single axis vs. double axis, solar system with PWM vs. system with MPPT controller.
