Abstract

We retrieve an unpublished typed manuscript by Manuel Gonzalo Casas, written in 1962, in which he outlines the development of philosophy within the university in Mendoza. This text is of interest because although Manuel Gonzalo Casas taught at the School of Philosophy and Literature of the National University of Cuyo between 1956 and 1969. He adopts the position of someone who looks from the outside at the process underwent by philosophy in the province, while expressing his interest to contribute to the philosophy of the country from a school of philosophy located in a western Argentinean province.
