Abstract
With the continuous increase of people’s demand for communication, modern wireless communication systems have higher and higher requirements for antennas. The goal of antenna design is broadband, low profile, and miniaturized antennas. Such antennas are used in personal communication systems, small satellite communication terminals, drones, etc. In this paper, a tree-shaped fractal millimeter wave UWB antenna is designed. The antenna is composed of a microstrip feeder, a tree-shaped fractal, a dielectric substrate and a limited ground. The finite ground is a rectangular structure. The antenna is optimized by electromagnetic simulation software, so that the antenna can obtain good impedance matching. The operating frequency band of the antenna is 28.25-39.90GHz (relative bandwidth is 37.6%), and the antenna gain is 5.09dBi. It can be applied to Ka-band and is suitable for future 5G communication.
