Data Loading and Migration Methods in the Cloud Environment

Abstract

Currently, most of the databases are migrated to the cloud environment ensuring reliability, stability, and scalability. Companies do not need to have their own database managers and administrators. With the increase of the data amount, it is necessary to take loading and import methods into the account, to optimize the whole process and minimize time and resource demands. In comparison with the local server storage located physically in the company, there should be an emphasis on the communication channel reliability and process supervision. This paper summarizes the methods available to load data into the Oracle Cloud environment supplemented by the own technique definition. It is based on structure management and index extraction outside the main transaction by pointing to the Notofication_module. Thanks to that, loading and migration operations can be optimized reducing the costs.
