Implementing a distributed Web-based management system in Java

Abstract

The distribution requirement of current and future networked environments has led to a shift from traditional centralized towards distributed management approaches. A distributed architecture for network management is presented The architecture implementation is based on an extensive use of emerging client/server, Web and Java technologies, the pursued objective being to promote flexibility, openness and portability.
