Abstract

In the context of achieving "carbon peaking and carbon neutrality" goals, large-scale wind energy development has become an important way and measure to tackle climate change in major countries around the world. Centralized wind power is usually used in areas with concentrated load resources because of its scale effect and low cost. However, it requires connecting the generated electricity to the grid and transporting it over long distances to load center areas for consumption and utilization. Distributed wind power can be configured in load centers, which provides flexible arrangement and local consumption. In this paper, the development situation of distributed wind power in China for 2020 is analyzed, based on which the Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE) of distributed wind power in the future is calculated, and the cost changes of this kind power in China both over the past decade and in the future are analyzed from three aspects: Initial investment cost, utilization hours and operation and maintenance rates, consequently the key directions of development are identified to provide reference for the future development of distributed wind power in China.
