Billions of doses of vaccines have been administered to overcome the pan-demic. The increased incidence of various autoimmune diseases during the pandemic has given rise to the thought that COVID-19 infection or vaccine may be the triggering factor. Recently, new-onset autoimmune phenomena after COVID-19 vaccination have been reported for some autoimmune diseases like Guillain–Barré syndrome and other neurological autoimmune diseases, IgA nephropathy, rheumatoid arthritis and systemic lupus erythematosus, immune thrombotic thrombocytopenia, autoimmune liver diseases, and autoimmune thyroid diseases.
