Abstract

This work proposes an application of the Internet of Multimedia Things (IoMT) for monitoring wildlife using edge computing. The application architecture was designed considering all stages from the collection of data in nature to delivery to the user. For this, the application architecture is organized into three services: edge, distribution and delivery. All application services were implemented without the use of commercial solutions, serving as a guide for developers who want to implement their own monitoring. As a study case, the application implemented in this work is that of monitoring birds calling, and was designed based on the Brazilian protocol for monitoring birds.
