Abstract

In this paper, the performance of a dual-hop selection relaying system with mixed radio frequency (RF)and free space optical (FSO)communications is evaluated under a feedback delay. The RF links are under Rayleigh fading and spectrum-sharing constraints while the FSO links are assumed to follow Gamma-Gamma distribution. A partial relay selection (PRS)scheme in an amplify-and-forward (AF)cooperative relaying with variable gain relaying is considered, and the performance of the system is evaluated and compared under different parameters.
