Abstract

In this paper, a novel planar array antenna with filtering functionality is presented. The main idea is to integrate both the antenna and filter with a combined treatment. The coupled radiating resonators are effectively adopted to obtain a fourth degree steep roll-off filtering antenna (filtenna). The proposed antenna is a 2*2 cavity-backed slot array antenna built by substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) technology.
