Abstract

This paper presents a conceptual view and analysis of a D-Band radio module currently under development in the 6GKom project. The envisioned RF transceiver module is a highly modular unit supporting different MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) configurations. The architecture of the target module, based on a FOWLP (Fan-Out Wafer Level Packaging) technology, which integrates SiGe-based phased-array radio chip and an integrated antenna array, is presented in this work. Also, the paper provides the analysis of the link budget for the envisioned system and discusses the capabilities of the system related to ranging and localization applications.
