Abstract

Antenna design has been one of the core fields which impacts the technological advancements in the wireless communication. Careful antenna design can have significant impact on the performance of the wireless communication link. Microstrip patch antenna has been researched for maximizing its gain and bandwidth by many researchers. In this paper, design of rectangular micro strip patch antenna at Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz frequency band is considered to enhance the gain and bandwidth. It is found that, by increasing the substrate height and patch length the bandwidth and gain of the rectangular micro strip patch antenna can be increased significantly.
