DBMS for Web: The Future of Database Management

Abstract

DBAs face different problems when working with many database products from various manufactures in the same company. This paper proposes a J2EE-based software developed to access any database in the market, in order to show information related to management of databases. As a case study, this program was implemented using Oracle database, versions 9i and 8i. In addition, the prototype developed offers a tool to execute SQL querys throughout Internet, making data accessible to database development team anywhere in the Web
