Abstract

The article considers the results of the work conducted by the scientists of the Chair of Automatic Electric Drive of Izhevsk State Agricultural Academy on the development of an energy&cost efficient LED irradiator for meristematic potato plants. This irradiator consists of multicolored LEDs. To control the dose of spectral components of a photosynthetically active radiation zone, a programmable logical controller (PLC) is used. The authors provide the results of the experiments, demonstrating that the irradiator application reduces electrical energy consumption by 70...80% and decreases the periods of potato plant growing in test tubes by 4 days.
