Adaptive algorithm for vessel roll prediction based on the Bayesian approach*

Abstract

The problem of vessel roll prediction is considered within the framework of the Bayesian approach; the proposed adaptive algorithm for its solution is described. The advantages of the proposed algorithm are discussed, and its interrelation with the algorithm based on neural networks is analyzed.
