The solar PV system provides with promising results and proves to be sustainable means of energy generation. In this paper the details of design and simulation of a Grid Tied Photo Voltaic system is provided for RRR labs, a commercial lab in Navi Mumbai. The analysis is done based on the top-down approach and the simulation for the proposed system is done using PVsyst software. Simulation results provide the performance parameters, energy generation and operational characteristics for the proposed system.
