DFTL:a description language for transformation of data formats

Abstract

Presents a context-free grammar,Data Format Transformation Language(DFTL),to take transformation between data with heterogeneous formats.The logical structure of data is described by XML Schema in DFTL,and the parsing and mapping rules of data are defined on the basis of extended markups.Experimental results show that it is possible to transform data with various formats to the data in XML by DFTL,thus a unified XML-view becomes true for the accession of data with heterogeneous formats.
