Abstract
This paper presents the design, implementation and validation of a low coast computational tool, capable of reproducing harmonic signals extracted from a distribution system simulation in real-time. The proposed methodology allows to simulate in real time, signals distorted by harmonics of different frequencies (up to the 15th harmonic). After the design and implementation of this interface, a correct validation of the first case of IEEE-519 model is presented. Several comparative scenarios are presented to validate the performance of this tool in real-time. Further applications could interact with power quality equipment with hardware-in-the-loop techniques to interact within a real-time simulation environment.
