From scalar control to space vector control: functions and limitations of the different elements

Abstract

The paper begins with the description of an induction motor rotor flux scalar scheme and studies the influence of the parameter uncertainties on the flux orientation and on the current values. Then it builds step by step a feedforward-based vector control scheme, explaining the role and the limits of each control block.
