[Ocular microsurgery. Contemporary ideas].

Abstract

Microsurgery in ophthalmic practice consists of performing certain operations on the eye with the aid of a powerful binocular telescopic system which gives a greatly magnified view of the ocular structures. The equipment in use has improved progressively since 1953. The classical operations have been improved and new surgical techniques are now possible.
